The Royal in Playa del Carmen?

Has anybody stayed there? Looks gorgeous, but don't want to spend that much money if it's not super nice! Thanks.

I've not stayed at this resort, however, if you want to save money try a number of web-sites and you can get a very good deal. www.rivieramaya.com might help. Make sure you go through a reputable dealer. I used orbits and got burned for the all-inclusive cost. The advertisement said all-inclusive, however, once on site at the hotel the fine print said additional cost for all-inclusive. I've seen good prices from Caribbean Jim's you'll have to find it. Do you know the best way to get to Playa del Carmen???
NOTE: One thing to keep in mind is the cost of using plastic, all the Mexican banks charge a 5% fee for using credit cards. Bring Travels Checks and cash.
