Good restaurants Playa del Carmen?

My wife and I will be in a hotel off of 5th Ave. Can anyone recomend some good restaurants close-by? Looking for restaurants that won't give us Motazuma's revenge! Thanks!

I am drooling just thinking about all the great places to eat there.
Try Carboncitos , they have the great tacos al pastor, might be the best I have ever had anywhere.
Off the beaten path, but worth a visit is HH Monterey.

Also El Fogon.

Also go into the Italian section of town, you can't go wrong at any of the Italian places. You feel like you are Italy, they all speak Italian.

P.S. You won't get sick. Mexico in most cities, especially tourist cities have that figured out.

You just have to walk around, there are so many restaurants in Playa del Carmen. You can find, Italian, french, Asian, American, seafood, Argentinean and of course Mexican.There is just about everything. I would just recommend to go to the 1st and 10th Av. is a bit cheaper and just as good. I ate in five and they were all great.

Mandarinas Cafe, in the 5th av ,its a cool place, romantic, good food, im sure ull like it

La Floresta. This restaurant is a little far from the resorts in Playa del Carmen, located around Calle 8 and highway 307. We actually walked here from town, I think it took us about 20 minutes to walk.

Las Brisas. What a FIND! It's located just off of 5th, beyond the illuminated street banner for Ajue Lobster. There is not a lot of ambiance, but the food MORE than makes up for that.

Carlos and Charlies, a fun family bar ( well kids can go ) it has dancing , great food and its a lot of fun :)
