What is the BEST ALL INCLUSIVE in Playa del Carmen?

I just want to spend about $1,000 per person.

I was in Cancun last June and stayed at the Oasis, spent about $1,000 for the package (hotel/airfare), but hated the hotel room. IT WAS BAD!

The best I have experienced in that area is Secrets. The room was beautiful, comfortable bed, room service was outstanding, great food at the 7 restaurants. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I stayed at the Secrets in 2006 and did not like it. It felt too much like the LOVE BOAT on land. The resort is beautiful, I must agree, but the pool not all that, the beach not all that (I prefer it at Cancun), but the food was AMAZING! ALL GOURMET!!! Report It

We have stayed at Puerto Real in Playa and LOVED it. The rooms are nice, the food is good, the beach is nice & it's walking distance to Playa center.

The most expensive one. There are several of those there but you pay alot more for them. Alot depends on what you can afford or want to pay as price range can be $1,000 to $3,000 more for a week stay.

In Mexico, you don't want to stay in a 3 star or less unless you know the property as there are a few good ones around. Go to a good travel agent who knows the area and can find one that suits your needs. I usually get hotels that are having a special but you got to make sure its not because of renovations which you should check on. Even some 4-5 stars havent been renovated in many years so stay away from them; whereas a 3 star newly renovated is much nicer..

The Oasis can be a good place but you have to know how to book it. I had a real nice room there my travel agent got me, but my friends I met there and had booked their room online, had terrible rooms. The Grand Oasis is much nicer but cost more.

You have to be more specific on what you want, like all adult place, close to Playa del Carmen town, further south toward the sigtseeing, a real big property, etc. Go to a good travel agent and tell her what you want. They get specials and promotions sent to them all the time and if they are experienced and been there, they could help you out a lot.

I stayed at the Oasis too and I hated it...It was nasty and it smelled!
