What can I expect on my drivefrom the airport in Cancun to Playa Del Carmen? It's a very straight forward drive, you'll briefly take part of the 180 to the 307 south. It's a well kept highway. Should have no troubles. There's not that much to see, you might see the entrances to some resorts but for the most part the resorts will be closer to the water. Topes are not a big problem on this route. I think there are some at the stop lights in PDC but that's all I remember. There are some others at police station between Cancun and PDC but I think that may be north of the airport. Either way, not a big deal on this drive. I am going on the 15th to playa del carmen i think i will rent and drive also, sounds like fun. Report It A broken down taxi and a view of very dry land. Always expect speed bumps before and after every town or village you pass through. There's usually a sign that says: Playa del Carmen from the airport is more or less 1hour drive= I hope you like Playa del Carmen I did not like it I just came back from there but Cancun is real nice I hope you have a real nice visit to Mexico the people are so nice and friendly Not much, but a straight road, some police check-points (about 2), a white horse to the side of the road, some hammered trees/vegetation from the past hurricanes, tour buses hauling you know what (a*s!), a bridge, many gates to luxury resorts, many locals going or coming out of work on the side of the road, some birds, some speed bumps, McDonalds, NOTHING MAJOR REALLY. Just enjoy the 45 minute drive, goes fast! Pretty much nothing. A lot of the time the cab drivers don't speak very much English. It's a fairly long drive, but you get to see a lot of jungle, which is kind of cool. Bring your iPod or something to keep you busy in the car. It takes about an hour, and you probably won't encounter much traffic. |

You don鈥檛 have to worry about bad restaurants in Cancun. You may come across restaurants that you like better than others, but you鈥檙e not going to find a bad restaurant. As far as hotel restaurants... Haciendas is a new (parts just opened in 2007) membership hotel part of the "interval international" trade group...it is a 5-star with rooms and villas. Hi there are about 124 Hotels at the Riviera Maya....all inclusive most of them.....i work at the Royal hide away...5 diamonts Dorado Royal is 1 Diamonth..so they are not too picky during lunch or... hello, to make it easy:PLAYA DEL CARMEN. the beaches and the turquoise water in the entire riviera maya beat the pacific at every time...especially in playa del carmen.puerto vallarta is located ... You will see alot of drunken white hairy sun-burnt Caucasians that appear to act like monkeys. Don't feed them and what ever you do, don't make any quick movements. ...Many kinds, look for infernal- from paris to berlin, 360 gradi- sandra, marco V, atb, etc, those are the kinds of songs i listen at the clubs(last year but you know, changes so fast), if you recogn... Although the beaches have been affected, they are not destroyed. We have stayed in Playacar before...at the Gala specifically and have visited the Playa del Carmen area many times.
