Is there water skiing in Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, or Tulum?

Looking for a cheap water skiing opportunity and trying to avoid Cancun. Anything between Playa del Carmen and Muyil?

I have been to all 3. Never seen anyone water skiing, it is the ocean.
Snorkeling
scuba diving
para sailing
Cancun the water is way too ruff
Pureto Moreles is a sleepy little town, you could probably hire someone there if they have a fast enough boat.. Beautiful reefs there
Puerto adventuras is a real nice beach, they do alot of fishing tours
All of these are along the highway very few miles apart.
Taxies are good or you can rent a car.
You can drive from Cancun to Tulum in a couple of hours.
Have Fun and be Adventuras Be sure and experience the Cenotes

playa is often more expensive than cancun. but,,, they do have everything a water loving tourist could want, but dont think you will find cheap.
coz or tulum are less likely to find it, but each year things change.
snorkelling is very popular there due to the reefs which inhibit playing with boats.

We've been to the Yucatan three times. We have not seen anyone on water skis nor is water skiing advertised in any of the places we've stayed. All the boats I've seen carry para-sailing, divers or fishing folks. You might try the web site docancun.com or just type in cancun.com.
