Is the water in Playa del Carmen clear around the Royal?

Hi,
The only time you will have water that is not clear is during high winds that will occasionally blow in from the south when a low pressure system parks itself over Belize. However, this will only last a day or two. There is also the Hurricane, this will screw-up everything. For the most part you will have great water.
For the best water I would take the ferry to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen, $16.00 each way. Coz is mostly limestone and the beaches are the result of coral and limestone erosion you will have very clear water all the time.

I can't think of any place along the Mayan Riviera, including Playa del Carmen, where the water isn't clear.
