The wife wants to visit Holbox while were in the Mayan? Well it's worth the trip, from Playa you can take an Air Taxi with Aerosaab...Located to the northwest of Cancun, Mexico, Holbox Island is just 26 miles / 42 km long. Holbox is separated from the mainland coast of Mexico by a shallow lagoon which gives sanctuary to thousands of flamingos, pelicans and other exotic birds and creatures. Please keep in mind that Holbox is very "quaint". If you want to go somewhere that is very laid back, sand streets, not much happening... then Holbox is the place. I love it there, but I like quiet and Playa del Carmen and Cancun are way too much for me. Consider a night in Valladolid and visit Chichen Itza if you go that way. As always, be polite and respectful, the Maya are a gentle and kind people. |

Many places have excellent food, in Playa Del Carmen I would suggest Yaxche, beautiful atmosphere with tables along the street or in the garden, their Kinich chicken is YUMMY, it's a grilled b... Well in Cancun The Taco Factory is awesome for lunch / snacks , The Argentian Steak house is great for dinner, La Destilleria is also popular, and Bubba Gump and Senior Frogs also has great food... The bus is my favourite way to get around, Cancun goes by zones for taxis, Zone's A - E, Buses are fast , frequent and efficient, carry lots of changed and let the driver know where you are go...
