Where can I try real Mayan food? Many places have excellent food, in Playa Del Carmen I would suggest Yaxche, beautiful atmosphere with tables along the street or in the garden, their Kinich chicken is YUMMY, it's a grilled breast marinated in chipolte pepper and tangerine, and their Tik N Xic fish marinated in achiote paste and sour orange then grilled with banana leaf is to die for.......check out their website http://www.mayanfood.com .....you won't be disappointed. in the mexican southeast like in yucatan campeche or quintana roo the food there is good The best place to get good Mayan food in Cancun is in a restaurant called Paloma Bonita. Their food is delicious. |

Well in Cancun The Taco Factory is awesome for lunch / snacks , The Argentian Steak house is great for dinner, La Destilleria is also popular, and Bubba Gump and Senior Frogs also has great food... The bus is my favourite way to get around, Cancun goes by zones for taxis, Zone's A - E, Buses are fast , frequent and efficient, carry lots of changed and let the driver know where you are go...
