How is playa del carmen's nightlife for kids in their 20's?

going from aug 21-28... lookin to have a good time and go out as much as possible... wondering what i should expect?

The nightlife in Playa del Carmen is centered around 5th Avenue (Quinta Avenida). A seemingly never ending street, which in the night transforms itself catering for every taste. Young or old, whether it's exquisite food and a margarita or a clubbers paradise, there is something for everyone!

The beach is also lined with bars where you can stop, relax and have a drink anytime you wish. Dance the day and night away on the warm powdery sand to music that ranges from Caribbean reggae to electronic, as good as any world-class club.

People are always in the mood to party here. 'Playa' has a more bohemian feel with a great mix of foreigners and Mexicans. Many restaurants seamlessly transform into nightclubs in the evening after the dinner hour has passed.

You will find the original, unique style of Playa in your hotel room, in the food, in the stores... clubs and bars couldn't be the exception!

You would have a better time in Cancun, but in the Mayan you'll still find lots to do.

Playa del Carmen has a lot of great places, however, you still have the "towny" flavor of party life...if you are really looking for wild partying try Cancun.

Trust me, I have lived in Cancun and now I live in Playa, different flavors...Playa is not for the wild child, you can have a blast but Cancun has better clubs.

You won't have any trouble finding some fun night life. Just stroll down 5th Avenue and you will find a place.
