What is the best online travel site to book a vacation to Mexico (playa del carmen)?

I am trying to book a vacation online to mexico (playa Del Carmen). What website is the best and cheapest to use?

Macaw Lover has this down! I've never had a bad vacation booked through my travel agent. I don't pay more than through the online services and I frequently pay less.

If you ABSOLUTELY have to do this online for some reason, you might try the Iberostar site (www.Iberostar.com) They are a hotel chain with some of the nicest all-inclusive places I've ever stayed, and the best places I've stayed in the Maya Riviera.

Whatever you decide to do, have a great time in Mexico!

www.jacksonlinetravel.com

It finds the best prices of the top 200 sites across the internet. Report It

The best prices and pt or ft employment is being with a travel agent that checks on the others yo have menitoned but it checks 1000's and brings back the best 200 prices.

www.jacksonlinetravel.com look at it and get back with me. Report It

The only sites I ever use are:

www.lastminute.com

www.opodo.co.uk

You could check those.

www.hotels.com - they have great package deals that include airfare and hotel.

I think the best is www.cheaptickets.com.

Here are a few more:

www.yahootravel.com
www.orbitz.com
www.priceline.com

I like expedia or orbitz, you also might try cheapseats.com

Travelbystargate.com

I understand that you want the least expensive prices; everyone does which there is nothing wrong with that.

But please think of this. You really should consider going through a professional travel agent. Everyone wants to get there moneys worth and an agent can help you do so. The problem with booking online is photos can be deceiving and touched up to make it look nice and you can't just go by peoples online reviews which you should take with a grain of salt. It's not that reviews are never correct, but you have people that one have one bad thing happen on there trip and suddenly everything was horrible and hotels to post bad reviews for there major competitors sometimes. If you see only bad reviews for a place then yes that is never really a good sign.

If you go through a good seasoned agent who is familiar with the destination you want to travel to we can help you in not only getting you a great price but make sure that you are getting what you pay for and not what you think you are paying for.

We can also ask you several questions in order to qualify you into what we feel is the best hotel for what you are expecting and wanting for your holiday. We all know travel for the most part it is expensive so wouldn't you feel a lot better in going through someone who can tell you if a resort isn't what it seems, tell you if it is a good price or that it is a great resort?

Some agents aren't honest granted. They let a client walk in the door, the client says I want to go here....now if that agent hasn't heard good things of that property, or they know for fact it really isn't a good place to stay some agents will just agree with you to make a quick easy sale. What you want is an agent that is going to be honest with you and tell you if a hotel is rundown, over-priced or if it is a good price and great accommodations. Plus we will work with you on what your budget is for your trip.

Many don't realize that agents don't tack on commissions it's that when you book direct with a vendor you pay the same price often it's just they make more money because they aren't having to pay the agency is all. Most agents charge some sort of small service fee because we do a lot of research to find you your dream vacation. Most of us aren't able to go on travels very often and when you do make sure you do it right and feel confident in what you are purchasing instead of potentially not confident in what you are purchasing.

So give a good agent a chance one might surprise you! Like any profession there are the good, the bad and the ugly =) Often you can tell which one an agent is!

If there is anything further I can do to help you feel free to contact me via email and I can send you my contact information.

No matter how you choose to book your trip I do wish you the best of time and hope all then turns out the way you envision it to be!

I LOVE www.funjet.com I use them every time I go to Playa del Carmen , Cancun, or Cozumel, and they always have the cheapest packages. They deal with great hotels, and there is always a funjet representative to meet you at the airport and available at your hotel.

Here are a couple of tips: Look at their last minute deals and their hotel only deals. Last time my husband and I went(in July) we booked a brand new resort on a hotel and transfer only deal(no air) and we payed 765.00 all inclusive for five nights. It was a really nice place. They also have killer deals for vacations with air included. Look in your Sunday newspaper in the travel section and usually they have ads about what are the best deals of the moment. I live in Houston, but they have many airports they use! Good luck!

By the way, that price was for BOTH of us, so around 380 per person...
