Honeymoon? |
Me fiancee and I are planning to go to Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon, we decided not to go to Cancun because we were told it was too much of a party town for us to have a relaxing time. How is the Playa del Carmen area comapred to Cancun? I just got back from Playa two weeks ago with wife, and would highly recommend it. Unlike Cancun, Playa retains charm and local flavor. great beaches, nature parks, and side trips ( you won't want those), it's a honeymoon !! my husband, son, and I went to Cancun couple years ago and yes your right, it too much of a party town.. it is also too americanized, you don't even feel like your in mexico! If you really want a wonderful honeymoon check this site www.ecotulum.com, you will find something really relaxing there...Playa del Carmen is today麓s buzz, and compared to Cancun is quieter but not honeymoony. Playa del Carmen is THE honeymoon spot in Mexico. Everyone goes there because of its beauty, serenity and good service. Can Cun is not as popular among honeymooners, so you'll see many different kinds of tourist that are not there for the same reasons as you. FIrst an foremost, congratulations. We too spent some time in Playa for our honeymoon. Weird thing is that Cancun actually has better beaches than Playa. But Playa offers something that Cnacun can't: Relaxtion! Playa is a beautiful, sleepy town. Much quieter than Cancun, but not dead. They have great shoipping, great all-inclusive resorts, great prices, great weather. HAng out on fifth street for the action. Hangout in your resort for relaxation and tanning. It's really beautiful there. Also, if you're really itching to party, Cancun is only 30-45minutes away. |
