Son is moving to Arizona to work at Xanterra South Rim Resort. Is there anyone who can tell me what it's like.

Would like to hear from someone who has worked there, but any info would be great. He's the first to leave "the nest". Just trying to ease my mind. I know this would be a great experience for him.

the resort is really nice. The accommdations for the employees are really nice too. they will have roommates and 3 meals a day.
He will have plenty of friends with his new co-workers.

The Grand Canyon is beautiful and a wonderful place to start a new life.

You could always go and visit!!!

I have never worked there but the south rim is a wonderful place he will be fine. In areas were there isn't a big city in or near by the people tend to be friendlier than the big city. He will be fine.

Been there several times, it's isolated, his friends will be other workers, it's beautiful, jammed up with tourists, it's beautiful, elevation 7500 ft., it's beautiful(oh yeah), weather is great from mid spring to mid fall, nature, nature, nature at it's finest. He should also take a couple of day trips to the North rim,not as crowded and to Lake Powell which is spectacular.
PS: Do NOT feed the bears!!!

its in the grand canyon. small town, housing is for workers, not a lot to d in the city outside the grand canyon, quiet, beautiful place. hell learn to apprciate nature and simpler things.

nice to work there, but it kind of makes you feel isolated.......
