Looking at houses around phoenix: what kind of neighborhood can you buy for around 500k?

1-2 acre lot with a 5 br 3+ bath, great mountain views, definitely inground pool, less than an hour away from phoenix area hospitals....5 yrs or newer..is this a probability?

The cities that have that type of pricing are Queen Creek and or Arizona City.

easy, now... they just had a ton of forecloses. go down there and feast., everyone else is...what was 500000 is now 300000

Should be easy, especially if you don't mind living out in the 'burbs a bit. These days, I bet you could even get something in North Scottsdale for $500k, but I'd look into Ahwatukee, Chandler and Deer Valley/Anthem.
