We are relocating to AZ in May. Looking in the Gilbert, Chandler areas. Any recommendations on the areas?

We were looking to move to Mesa but have changed our minds and are now looking at Gilbert or Chandler. We are in need of a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, prefer townhome or whatever, that is inexpensive and in a safe area to raise our 4 year old. We also have a 2 year old Shih Tzu that we want to bring with us on the move and need a place that accepts small dogs. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any places. We would appreciate some information. Thank you.

have u checked out tempe or scottsdale? tempe is cheaper than scottsdale and scottsdale is really nice to live too but expensive. everybody says scottsdale has a reputation for being stuck up. i find all parts of phoenix to be bad to live in except the biltmore area, north phx, pv, etc. fountain hills is nice too but there isnt anything to do there. good luck trying to like AZ!

im visiting my aunt and uncle right now and they lvie in chandler near the mesa city line. it is a nice safe area with nice houses and they pay less than $1000 a month for rent and yup you can have pets cause they have a chiuauhua [sp]
