Relocating to the mesa/phoenix arizona area?

im moving to mesa from a really small town. never lived in a big city before. is there anything special that i need to know about the city? is it really hard to get an apartment there?

It's not hard to get an apartment the big thing you have to know is LOCK everything up always. I had to get use to that myself.

It will be really easy to get an apartment in the $700 - $1000 range (2 bedrooms usually). Phoenix is a cool town overall, mesa isn't the best place, but it's close to everything still.

No, finding a place in the East Valley is not that tough at all. In fact the way the housing market is right now, its the perfect time to move to Phx.

Mesa is a big place and just like any other city it has some shady parts and nicer areas too. It depends on your lifestyle and price range.

If I were heading back to live in Phoenix I would look towards Tempe or North Mesa out near the 202 loop.

There's a lot of apartments in the Mesa area, and most are easy to get into unless you have a bad rental history. Mesa has really good, and really bad areas, but what city doesn't. It's close to everything to.

we also moved here from small town about 6 months ago and it was easy getting a place.we rented a 3 bd.room house in east mesa for 1050 a month its nice and in a nice neighborhood.there are so many places around here for rent.gilbert is also a nice area.I hope you like it here,we ars actually planning on moving this summer,we want to go to idaho or oregon.the summers suck,i have lived in bullhead city az. for many years,it is so hot and my husband works as a lineman so he is out side all day,so thats why we want to movebut other than that its pretty nice here.Im still scared at night,i constantly think someones going to break into our home cuz you hear alot of that happening here.email me if i can help you with any more info.

it will be really easy for you to get an apt. housing is extremely cheap compared to other big cities. only thing you need to know about Mesa is that there are alot of mormons in that city. depending on how far east in mesa you're moving there are alot of old people and snowbirds. be prepared for the summers because they're brutal. but we get nice weather for the other 8 1/2 months out of the year.
