Phoenix/scotdale area in Summer? |
I heard you can get great deals at nice hotels and resorts in the Scotsdale area in Summer when its so stifling hot... The Hyatt has a lot of family activities. You can drive over to Jeepers (Jungle Jims) in Mesa, AZ. It's like Chuckie Cheese's on steroids. The Arizona Science Center has a lot of interactive stuff for kids to, all are indoors. Go to the Marriott Desert Ridge. It has a lazy river inside it, there's nearby restaurants and shopping. Cheaper in the summer is true, but the secret is, 110 ain't as bad as you'd think next to a pool with some cold brews (or sodas, lol). There are a plethora of great resorts here, and the summer rates are worth it, it's not hard to beat the heat here. You and your kids could see a ballgame at Chase Field, the roof will be closed. But other than that, I'm not recommending any activity in the 115 degree heat. The river is fun. |
