What is wrong with me?

a guy had told me just today " If you don't want to be courted, why don't you lock yourself up?"

and then another, a month or so had told me this:

"I don't really believe that you are waiting for true-love, you just love turning us down!"

help please?

I want to fall in-love, that's all i ask. Is that bad?

Personally, I thought that it was customary to ask a lady whether or not she wants to be courted before actually doing so. And I know full and well that means being open to rejection at that first step.

From experience (naks!), here's what advice I can give you.

Accepting suitors isn't bad, as long as you make it clear that your acceptance of his attentions doesn't mean you accept him as a boyfriend. After all, you never know who you'll fall in love with and giving guys chances to prove themselves to you isn't bad. Love doesn't always happen at first glance, if it happens that way at all. It's important to remember, however, that rejecting a suitor can be incredibly painful for the girl, too. So, if you know that there is no possible way for a guy to make you fall in love with him despite his efforts, say so. Don't lead the guy on.

If a guy doesn't make his intentions clear, but appears to be courting you, that's when it becomes tricky. If you're not comfortable with the attention, be straightforward with it. If you think the guy's trying to make a move, tell him to be straight with you.

And, wanting to falling in love isn't bad. Turning down people isn't bad. But, if you're extremely idealistic about the guy you want to fall in love with and expect to be swept off your feet like in romance novels, that's when you cheat not just the guys, but yourself, as well, out of what could be a very meaningful relationship.

we really can't force people to like us or to reciprocate their love in any way.

the guy has the right to be angry at you if in any way, you lead him on.

don't rush or come looking for love. never make the mistake of falling in love with love (the notion that you are in love not with the person but with either the feeling or the the idea of love). take your time and enjoy being single.

Nothing is wrong with you. It is just that, perhaps, you haven't found the right man yet and all those who courted you have not passed the criteria you set for yourself and for the man of your dreams. Take your time in choosing. I believe you are still young. It is better to choose well and wisely than to be sorry later on.

There's nothing wrong about falling in love, but it should be with the right guy. The question is how long your gonna wait for that right guy. If your still on your 20's it's OK to take your time. But, if your already on your early 30's that means you better start making up your mind.

miss lassie, nuttin' wrong with you BUT there is sumthin' wrong with 'em guys. that's very ungentleman-like of them to say those things to you. they can't seem to take rejection well. hey, girl, it's not your fault they don't measure up to your ideal man...so keep holding off till "the one" comes along. mr. right is worth the long wait. don't worry, be happy. rah rah rah

you should ask: what is wrong with them? hmmmpp. men who says those words to you are immatures. hmmmpp. they can't accept the truth that they don't have the "it" that you're looking for. take your time and you will know when love comes knocking at your doorstep. hmmmppp.
