Where should we buy a family home in Perth, nature required (bush, hills, streams etc.)?

Hi people,
we may be emigrating from Holland to Perth.
So we are checking out the locations for buying a house.

But since there are thousands of options it's pretty hard.

We are looking for an area with hills, water and beautifull nature in general. We definately don't want to live in a flat suburb with all the same houses and no nature.

So what are our options? Our price limit is about 600.000, we'd like a 4+ bedroom house, 1+ bathroom and garage.

My wife and I are 31 years old, we have a son of 2 years old.

Thanks guys!

Firstly here are some real estate sites.

The shire of Kalamunda contains about a dozen suburbs - most of which are hilly and pleasant.

Shire of Mundaring is also in the hills but it's starting to get a bit far away if you want to commute into the city.

The city of Armadale is horrible in the flat bits but on the hill it is good i.e. Roleystone, Bedfordale, Karragullen

You don't say if you are going to be working anywhere and how far you are prepared to drive, you could get right out of the city and go for somewhere like Jarrahdale but then it might take you an hour and a half drive to get to work.

Sounds like Kalamunda would be a nice area for you, it is in the hills, 30 mins drive to the city.

Try www.reiwa.com

Good luck!

Kalamunda for sure.

You have a very slim chance of buying a property with a year round steam etc. for $600k. It will only buy you a fairly normal 4x2 in Kalamunda Shire. If you want a hectare or two of land be prepared to pay up to twice that figure.

Darlington definitely.
It is in the Perth Hills district, in the Mundaring shire but only a 40 min drive to the city or a ten minute drive to Midland and a 20 minute train ride.
We have lived here for 3 years after spending time in New Hampshire, USA. It is hilly and village-like and not at all flat and suburban.
Try Trevor Clark Hills Real Estate.
