Public Transportation in Paris? Also Cheap Hotel?

I am taking a cruise from Barcelona and before that I will like to fly to Paris(CDG) for a day and see
1) The Eiffel Tower
2) The Louvre
3) The Champs Elysees
4) Notre Dame
and stay at cheap place and either fly next day or take midnight train to Barcelona. I have found a reasonable priced hotel near airport(CDG)in town of VILLEPINTE. I will like the advice with public transportation and reasonable priced hotel.
any advice is much appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance.

No wonder the hotel in Villepinte is cheap, it's one of the most dangerous cities in France! Don't stay there, it could be pretty dangerous to head back to your hotel at night after visiting Paris.

I don't really know what your schedule is and if it is important for you to sleep near the airport, but the airport is located very far from Paris in the middle of nowhere and the area between the airport and the city is bad.

If you know of a midnight train to Barcelona, don't get a hotel room. If you prefer to fly the next day, stay in Paris anyway, with public transportation you are only 30 minutes from the airport. You will need to take RER B, it is direct to/from the city center (Notre Dame), easy and cheap.
http://www.ratp.fr/ You can display the page in English and view a map of the m茅tro and RER network.

As for hotels, it depends what time of the year you are going but you can find cheap hotels in Paris. Since it's just for a night and you're just looking for a place to sleep, I suppose you're not looking for anything fancy. You may want to check these sites:

- for cheap hotels: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris-hotels-b...
Choose a central district near a convenient m茅tro or RER line, preferably one that takes you to the airport or the train station for Barcelona (most likely Austerlitz station, so anywhere near line 10 in the Latin Quarter/St-Germain districts would be good: 5th and 6th arrondissements).
- for bed & breakfast (very cheap alternative to hotels):

H么tel des Mines is conveniently located whether you want to take the RER to CDG airport of the train to Barcelona and it gets good reviews, but although affordable it's not one of the cheapest: http://www.hoteldesminesparis.com/index-...
I don't know what your notion of "reasonably priced" is but you can also sleep in Paris for under 50 鈧?a night.

Avoid north east districts which are not the safest and far from the sites you want to see. Enjoy your cruise and your day in Paris!

EDIT: if you are taking the evening train and don't need to spend a night in Paris, you can leave your luggage for the day at one of these places: http://en.parisinfo.com/guide-paris/usef...

well i dont know if its a bad idea to sleep in villepinte : its not really glamourous.
i dont think its dangerous, but be sure its in the area of the airport, not in the city.
its far from paris (30 minutes from gare du nord, and then you must reach another place to visit -> 1hour far from champs-茅lys茅es). but if you stay only 1 day in paris, i think its ok. just take care, no trains after 1:00 am and before 5:30 am, but there are bus.

take a ticket "Paris Visite zones 1-6" = 18 鈧?

if you wanna visit everything in a day... youre gonna visit mainly the subway !!

if you take the midnight train to barcelona... well, its a great experience, i know him very well - its gonna be a very long journey !!

You can buy transportation passes before you leave the States. Use the metro to be fast, buses will allow you to see the city as you travel. Super easy system either way!! Here's a link that you can use!

Try this website http://www.cheaphotel-s.com , you can search and compare through 30 over websites and 700,000 hotels worldwide. You can choose to search through hotel ratings and price.

Good luck. Have a nice trip.
