Do you know of any websites that I can order real French baguettes?

either fresh shipped overnite or frozen? I have looked all over the 'net and can't find anyone. Any ideas??? Also, can we import their ham and do you know if it is on those same websites????

I agree, La Brea is the best bread sold in the US. All French connoisseurs agree. They are based in California. Unfortunately they don't ship but you can find their breads in several supermarkets. Only problem is where I live they cost over $4 at the supermarket (bread is rarely more than 80 cents in France).

Under "Products" you'll find a store locator page. If you have a Costco near you, their bakery section is actually good, and so are their croissants.

I don't think you'll find real French baguette, it doesn't keep well. The French eat bread the day they buy it. I have found this site but not only is it overpriced, I can tell just from the picture that the texture has nothing to do with a real French baguette but you can still try, you never know: http://www.artikochef.com/products/frenc...
If you have a huge freezer and are willing to spend $174 for 48 baguettes without knowing first if they are good: http://www.lepetitfrancais.com/
Then you have to bake it the right way.

For other French foods, try these sites:

If you are in the U.S., try LaBrea Bakery. Yummy breads that freeze pretty well. I'm not sure if they ship but I live in Vegas and some of the markets carry the bread here.

Have you checked to see whether there is a French bakery in your area? I'm very lucky to live near one that is owned by a gentleman from Strasbourg. While I've never bought a baguette from him, I can testify that the tarte tatin is delish!
