How many days is enough to visit Paris?

Unless you want to run and get a picture of one place just to prove you were physically there for a moment go for 2 or 3 days...

But if you want to experience Paris for what it is I would suggest AT LEAST 5 days with a weekend included in it.

Forget about the bus, it's not that great and like I said you just end up to have a quick series of monuments and places. If you have to take something cool try the bateau-mouche at night. Or a cheaper solution the bateau-metro, it's along the Seine and the price is pretty cheap. At the difference with the Bus is that you're going to have a view from the Seine.

Also don't miss Montmartre, this even more than Champs Elysee. If you want to see old Parisian style (well what's left of course) it's there. Champ Elysee is interesting for the Arc and the concept that represent but the rest are just shops that you can find in many big Avenues in the western world. But I suppose if you like shopping it's cool there but you can find those as well in the Opera area.

You must go to the Louvres, even if you hate museum that one is awesome and at least to see la Joconde. There it's huge but you can make it in half a day if you go for the main exhibits. Besides the area, 1st Arrondissement is more beautiful than the Champs Elysee. You have close by the Opera area that it's pretty cool, make sure to see the Opera at night as well.

Go to La rue Mouffetard is pretty cute and not that long but the area is close of the Pantheon.

Don't forget the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Quartier Latin. The Marais with its old building (oldest kept building in Paris, Napoleon destroyed all the buildings to create big Osman boulevards)

I suppose the Eifel Tower with the Champ de Mars (go there at night if possible and especially if it's clear, every hour you have the lights of the tower blinking. Amazing if you are on the Champs de Mars when it happens...

Walk, walk and walk... It's the best way to feel Paris, during the day and evening. Go to cafes where I told you it's pretty cool, do not go to restaurants in the Quartier Latin, the streets are cool but it's a tourist trap. I suggest that you go to Equinox in the Le Marais. Not too expensive and really good (25 Euro)

Of course, if you feel to go outside of Paris there is the Chateau de Versailles. Make sure you visit the gardens.

You see? How can you make it in 2 or 3 days...

P.S If you have two weeks it's even better. You just take more time for each spot and visit more things.

for 5 years im living in paris... and still great things to see and visit...
but i think 1 week is good : you can visit the main places and take time to "live" (go in bars, cinema, rest in parks...). 10 days is perfect, you can also visit the suburbs (versailles, fontainebleau...)

At least 3, i suggest u 2 take 2 days tour in a hop on hop off bus, theyll take u the most important places, also dont take a lot of time in the museums, i mean they r interesting but they r soooo big that u would take all day long juss 2 c 1 instead of sight seeing. Go 2 the Moulin Rouge, its gr8.

I would say, a minimum of two years! But if you can only afford vacation, like most of us, a week is enough to see the basics, and two to really delve into some corners.

There are never enough days to visit Paris!!!
So many things worth seeing such as dozens of museums, monuments, parks, gardens, exquisite architecture.
So much beauty, ancient history and modern, all in the melting pot of this magnificent city.
You could live there all your life and find something new and interesting almost every day!

It depends. As many people said here... you can live there for many years and you can discover new things all the time.
If you want to visit top attractions, I would say a 7 to 10 days.
I am a huge fan of art, so I took a day for each museeum Louvre, Orsay and Orangerie. And I combined musseum visits with lunch-dinner out in Latin Quarter and Champs Elyse茅s area.
Go to Versalles. The time stops there. This place is amazing.
Take 2 or 3 days to walk around, take your pic at the Eiffel Tower, Arc du Triomphe, Notre Dame, and Sacre Couer.
Take a mousse du chocolat, a coffee; eat frech cousine. If you can afford an expensive dinner, go an try it.
There is a place near to the Madeleine. I think the name is Tea House.. you will try the best tea ever, they have many types.
