The time difference between Virginia and Paris is six hours, they are ahead of local time by exactly six hours.

I do not wish to offend anyone else, but I noticed someone told you that Europe is six hours ahead of us here, England is part of Europe and the they are five hours ahead of us.

You have guessed that I am British, but I too live in VA.

I hope this clarifies things for you, and if not, just check out the world clock, it has all major cities listed with their current times.
