Paris museum pass?

We will be in paris for 1 week. We have two kids (6,4) with us. Is it worth to buy paris museum pass or not ?
Does this pass includes Versailles Palace also ?

The Museum pass may or may not be worthwhile depending on what your itinerary is.

For example, Versailles IS included in the pass. The one day entry fee to all parts of the chateau is 鈧?0 weekdays and 鈧?5 euros weekends. Children under 18 are free. since the per day cost of a museum pass can vary from 鈧?5 to 鈧?0 perday the pass is a good buy on the day you go to Versailles.

On the other hand, entry to the Louvre is 鈧?.50 and if you spend the whole day there the pass is not a money saver.

In general though the pass is worthwhile if you plan to see many things very quickly. Thus for people who go to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa and Winged Victory and ignore the other 34,988 masterpieces then head to the Cluny to see the Lady and the Unicorn tapestries then rush to ride the elevator to the top of the Arc de Triomphe it is a wise purchase.

But if you're a more leisurely tourist it might not be worthwhile. I personally can't deal with more than one museum a day and prefer wandering around checking out architecture, nosing around street markets and striking up conversations with random people at cafes. So for me a museum pass is a waste of money.

The museum card is definitely worth an investment - if you plan to visit many places. We saved quite a bit of money as well on the ticket price. Two years ago a pass could be bought for 2, 4 or 6 days. The best of all was not to queue with million of others trying to buy a ticket to a museum. From my memory, the Versailles Palace was not included into my museum card (that was 2 years ago now) but maybe it would be worthwhile checking the tourist information for Paris. Try to check this website -maybe it can be helpful: http://www.conciergerie.com/main.htm?O=P...
have a wonderful time, it really is a great place.

I found it worth it, it didn't include Versailles ( which is out of Paris anyway...i did a half day tour instead).....I found it especially worth it for the Louvre...I was practcally the only one in the pre paid queue ( while the other line was pretty long) so I went straight in at opening time and hoofed it to the Mona Lisa and had un-obstructed views of the picture.

I spent a few hours there and then left and came back later on in the evening as I got knackered wandering around.....
I would check out the list of museums as well, I know it didn't include the Rodin Museum, but did a Picasso one. I actualyl don;t remember the others!!! I am not arty however...a complete pleb but the Picasso and Louvre stand out.
There are lots of other places to see in Paris if you chose not to do it!

passes are also offered for 1, 2 or 3 days. look at the museum pass website to get an overview on what you want to see -- then do the math. also, the passes allow you to go to the front of the line which would obviously be more convenient for your family. very young children are allowed gratis into many museums, tho w/ small kids you won't be spending a full day in any one indoor museum. if the weather is cold & rainy you will be spending more time indoors so plan on museums. if you are there in the warmer weather or summer go to the waterpark -- you will want to go to w/ your kids, which is not covered by the pass.

versailles also has special exhibitions & if you purchase tickets online you go to the front of the line for those...your kids will have a great time walking the gardens w/ you!!!
