Can anyone suggest an economical but nice hotel to stay in, in paris?

Must be central,
Preferably in August,
Safe Area.
Ane Suggestions Would Be Very HelpFul =]

Delhy's H么tel. It's a short walk from the St Michel metro in, by far, the coolest spot in Paris. All pedestrian streets, next to the River and Notre Dame Cathedral (you'll hear the bells from your room), and a whole lot cheaper than most places in the heart of the city. Google Map it and you'll find this address:

22, Rue Hirondelle
75006 Paris, France
01 43 26 58 25

Don't expect anything fancy though! Just rooms with beds and toilets.

Booking.com is the site I always use for Paris hotels. There are few big chains operating in Paris, so sometimes it is difficult to really understand the quality level. 2 and 3 star hotels will be closest to what you are looking for. When in doubt, use skype and call them up to ask if they have air conditioning and other essentials.

Also- Hate to say it but Paris is terrible in August because that is the height of the French holiday season. Hold off until September and it will be more enjoyable with better chances of cheaper prices.

Have a good trip!

My perosnal favorite is the Hotel St. Andre des Arts. You can read more about it here: http://www.123france.co.uk/en/0/hotel-sa...

You mgiht also like the Hotel de Roubaix (http://www.hotel-de-roubaix.com/htgb/000... ) or the Hotel des Allies (http://www.alliesparishotel.com/)

I suggest you hotel Ascot Opera - rue Monsigny no.2. It's a small one, but in a very safe area and, at the same time, very, very close to the main beauties of the city. Enjoy your trip !

Stayed here. Off of St. Germain, at L'Odeon Metro station.
Very clean, hospitable, have a shuttle to pick you up from airport and take to hotel, nice staff, breakfast avail in hotel, comfy beds -

or try www.marriott.com for various prices in different arrondisments of Paris. I stayed at one near Europe Metro and it was nice, just not very French....

the best booking @site for Paris is paris35.com

i personnaly recommend Hotel Voltaire from this site...located near Nation area...very central bu still quiet

I like Hotel L'Aiglon - it's on boul. Raspail and on a great bus route (10 minutes or less - the bus stop is at the front door) to the centre of Paris. Clean and comfortable. I liked it and it's a safe neighbourhood.

The Timhotel chain is very good. They have them in different arrondisements so pick one that is where you need to be. Careful, France shuts down in August for a nationwide month holiday. It will be very slow then.

Last year in April I paid 58euros/day with breakfast at the Ibis Republique.
Paris is a safe area.

I prefer the Gotty Opera, centrally located in the 9th and within walking distance to the Opera, and many other tourist attractions. Very safe and nice location too!

Enjoy your trip :)
