Chic relaxed hotel in St Germain area of Paris? |
Hi all. I'm going to Paris in late April and am looking for a hotel in the St Germain area, close to the Seine. Not so interested in the grandness of the public areas or the quality of the dining room but do want a well appointed bedroom which is quiet and has a sitting area. Budget up to 200 euros p.n. You've chosen an excellant area to stay in. Try the following, I've used them dozens of times and no problems; There are a few. It's a great area close to just about everything and very near the Seine. There are a couple of hotels on the quai (some with views of the Seine) which are the Quai Voltaire - a nice little hotel near the Muse D'Orsay. Yes! Stayed here 9 years ago and then just over Christmas. In St. Germain area. Has been renovated between my visits and the charm is even BETTER!! At the L'Odeon Metro, cute and excellent restaurants all around. Near alot of the sites and very, very comfortable and hospitable. They will arrange a shuttle to pick you up from hotel (which beats the cost of a cab or fighting the trains after a long flight). Check them out. Haven't stayed here but looks really cute. You can search and choose hotel information, rates and availability for free in over 200 countries world wide at my profile. Look at www.venere.com |
