Where is the jewish district located in paris?

My friend is studying abroad there and I am trying to get a cheap hostel nearby. Thanks!

- Le Marais, in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. Famous street is rue des Rosiers. This is a mainly ashkenazi Jewish district.

- Le Sentier, in the 2nd arrondissement, named after the nearest m茅tro stop, which is a center of the clothing & textile industry run by sephardi Jews.

- To a lesser extent, there is also a community of Jewish Tunisians in the eastern district of Belleville, which is otherwise predominantly North African and muslim.

But if your friend said she is in the Jewish district of Paris, it most likely means the Marais in the 4th and 3rd districts. Very pleasant district!

Third district.

I stayed in the 9th district the last six times I visited Paris and there are lots of Jewish establishments there too! Everything is advertised as "CACHET" (sp??) :)

I believe Le Marais
