How did the panama canal benifit america? |
How did the panama canal benifit america? US had alot of control of the country of Panama. It made it easier for our warships to get from one ocean to the other without going all the way around. The U.S. had control of it till a few years ago. Every ship that goes through the canal, has to pay according to it's weight. That adds up to a lot of money. I would bet that the U.S. got a good size chunk of that money. |
