Has anybody any advice on living and working in Goa?

Any advice would be great, visa requirements, job details, etc etc

living is easy, work is hard, what type of work you looking for? if you European, non existent, the goans will buy and sell you. staff are cheap labour, work for next to nothing, you cannot work in goa and make a decent living, impossible.

Ya, be very careful!!!!!

Yep. Great place, nice people- Goa for it.

Goa is one of the most beautiful palces in India and the beaches and the friendly people around there I don't think it will take lone time to adjust urself..so just enjoy beautiful Goa

If you are a U.K. national you will only be allowed a six month tourist visa. I'm not sure about working though that may require a special visa or even a sponsor.
It's a beautiful place but be careful people will want to rip you off, ie: take out only what you intend to spend on a daily basis if they see you have load of cash in your wallet you are the centre of attention. When using a cash machine you will be charged by your bank for the privilege of withdrawing money abroad, try and take a large amount in one go to reduce the charges, but put it in a secure place like the hotel safe.
Enjoy your time in India, Sri Lanka is also a wonderful place to visit and you don't need a visa and can stay for 30 days. Don't limit yourself to staying in one place.
Have a great time.

its ok but you can not work on a 6month visa as the law do not alow you to work there. i think there is so much red tape to live there also i go every year for 3month at a time i just get a cheap rtn flight and dont use the rtn its ok that way you can use any airline to get you home ba virgin or air india
if you are going to work there be carefull as the police do check the pubs and clubs and places to eat also let me know if you need any help
