Hi..Hello..I need help with Goa hotels and site seeing?

Anyone know what are some 3 star hotels in Goa..close to airport and other sites?

How is hotel Nizmar?


I am traveling with my family to Goa in Jan actually Jan 10th thru 13th and I have my husband and 2 kids, I really don't want to spend too much money on the hotel. I would like to spend more than 6,000 rupees a night. We will be flying into dabolim airport.

are there any all inclusive hotels? if there is anyone out there who can help please list the hotels that are 3 stars...maybe 4.

Is it better to get a car and driver through the hotel to take us around in Goa??

Nismar resort is OK from what I have heard. I have not stayed there.

There are a number of resorts with all inclusive packages. The challenge is that when once you sign up you are locked in to eat within the resort. I do not know if you and the family like indian foods. Local fish dishes are good but spicy. You may want to try new food etc at local restaurants - warning- do not try to drink local water. Always use bottled water or cocoanut milk fresh from the cocoanut.

There are a number of tourist operators who would be happy to take you around, depending on your budget. Hotels always have a high upcharge for car rentals with drivers. Many of the hotels have their own favorites with outside parties. Be clear in terms of type of car, cleanliness, airconditioning, how many days, how many stops etc. If you are getting the hotel car make sure that you have someone who acts as the local guide.
Driving in Goa - the roads are congested and traffic jams are common. However the roads are scenic and fun.

The advantage of taking the car through the hotel is you can negotiate upfront and not leave it to the fancy of the driver. Make sure it is all inclusive. Since gas prices are extremely high in india; beyond a specific mileage there is an additional charge for gas, etc. If there is an overnite stay the driver usually stays with the car. You can work it out with the hotel staff.
