Are the beach shacks n shops open Mid August in Goa. Would there be any crowds or is it gonna be mad boring?

I can only get vacation in August so I wanna make the most of my time. But if everything is closed, then it's not a good idea, I guess. Please help!

Goa is always fun. You wouldn't have a dull moment there. Beach Shacks are run by people who need money, so come rain, hail or snow they'll be open,

Its the tail end of the rainy season in August, so don't expect full-on beach weather.
The shacks' season runs from October through to May.
As that is the summer season, that's when you will find lots more people and the place gets a holiday buzz.
It all depends on what you want out of your holiday.

Goa is fun round the year so dont worry.... not all shacks will be open but at BAGA nothing closes...

Well I love'd it anytime of the year.Go to the south of Goa and work your way up north.
There are a few beach restaurent's.There is the Fiplees in benaulim which has some entertainment throught the week.

all my friends in goa dont open the shacks until late october. they asked me to go mid october cus they are not working so yeah it would be mad boring and probably mad rainy too. Go to other parts of india. also they are no direct flights to goa in aug you have to go via mumbai which is mad hot and unorganised!

in august its monsoon time in goa
very few shops and restaurants will be open
less foreign more indian tourists around
cheaper prices in the open hotels
