Has anyone used priceline to book airfare to italy?

My son and his friend want to go to Palermo for 2 weeks, and I found pricelines-"Name your own price" was interesting. I'm not sure about it and I can't find out anything about it. If anyone has used them please let me know, I don't want to get stuck with a terrible flight.

I have used it, and it works somewhat well but its like gambling.

When you go there you name your own price, but you have to put in a credit card first. I dont like that. Well anyhow you put the price, like first research it on expedia and travelocity for the best price, then knock off 100 bucks. If you dont get a bite knock off 50 bucks. I found that it was then cheaper just to pay the price asked on expedia, since i didnt get response, and nobody had a ticket at my price.

Try it, but I think the others are better. Travelocity has flexible dates and thats cheap and good.
