Carry on packing help! Makeup??

I'm just bringing a carry on for 5 days in Florida.
I am guessing I need to consider any liquid makeup like mascara and foundation to be under 3 oz and packed in the quart sized baggie?
What about medicine(tablets), deodorant, and powder makeup like blush and mineral makeup? Is there a limit on that sort of stuff??
My husband also has a carryon--can he bring a bag of some sort to hold his ipod, earphones, newspaper, etc?

Both mascara and liquid foundation should be put in the 1-qt baggie with other liquids. If your deodorant is gel - you have to put that in the baggie too. But if it is a solid deodorant - you can leave it out.

Powders, like your mineral makeup and blush, don't need to be put in a baggie. But you may want them in a seperate baggie - just to keep the powders from "leaking" onto your other items.

Medicines -- I'm not certain if gel caps have to be in the baggie. BUT, Very Important -- All medicines have to be in their original containers - correctly labeled. You're not allowed to consolodate different medicines into 1 bottle. So be conscious of this.

You can cram as many 3-oz bottles in your baggie as needed. If you have a lot - suggest that your husband add some of the overflow to his baggie (since each passenger is only allowed One 1-qt baggie). Just don't make him carry anything gender specific for a female (like foundation) - or secerity may question...

If it's not a liquid - it doesn't require a baggie. Your husband can carry his ipod, earphones...everything non-liquid...seperately in his carry-on.

But hey -- I suggest baggies for everything to keep stuff organized. If he wants to keep the ipod and earphones in a baggie to keep the cord from getting tangled in other things - by all means - go for it.

Just keep all your makeup in 1 ziplock, medicine in a separate ziplock. You dont need a ziplock for iPod or earphones. The TSA is just strict with larger liquids such as shampoo, conditioner, etc.

just put them in a ziplock bag. Original container for the medicine.
