Italy Trip Help!?

What kind of clothes should i bring to Italy? I'm leaving for the trip with my family on March 19th to see my relatives in florence!! This is my sencond time going there so I want to wear something different but cute, or something that is in style.

Since you'll be going in March it will still be chilly so a coat is going to be your main fashion factor. A well fitted classic coat can do you no wrong. If you want to go trendier there are plenty of coats on sale right now and one with a bold print, such as an oversized houndstooth print will definitely make a statement.

Also boots are really big in Europe this season, worn with everything from dresses to jeans. A flat or small stacked heel boot that is comfortable enough for walking will definitely help you fit in with all those stylish Italians.

Boots tucked into jeans is by far the most popular and seasonally appropriate look going on in Europe right now. The jeans must be slim fitting and the boots must be wide enough around the calf to accommodate the jeans comfortably. Tunic tops/sweaters help disguise any figure flaws that a skinnier pant can reveal.

If the boots thing is too trendy. A well fitted coat and a beautiful pashmina type scarf are all you need. I found a beautiful scarf at the San Lorenzo market last fall so you can always check that out while in Florence.

My only suggestions are to first - pack light!

The last thing you want is to burdon yourself with an Extremely Heavy Suitcase full of clothes you don't end up wearing.

This means, pack cute but Simple items that can be mixed and matched and layered all different ways for multiple outfits. Only pack clothes that you Know you'll wear.

Don't plan for "Maybe I'll be in the mood to wear this when..."
You'll end up hating yourself by day 2.

Watch the weather.

Personal Experience -- a couple cute hoodies go a long way! Throw 'em over anything and you're good to go. And only pack 2 pairs of shoes, planning your outfits around that (so everything matches and you're able to do the mix/match thing I already suggested).

And chances are - especially since it's family - they don't mind what you're wearing so much as the fact that you came all the way to Italy just to see them!!
