How much does it cost to ship furniture?

My family and I are relocating from Virginia to Puerto Rico. I'm only interested in shipping my sons combo crib. He's only 2 months and we spent $500.00 on it. If shipping the crib cost more then the crib itself then we will have to find another alternative. If you have shipped furniture international could you give me an idea on what I would spend in shipping costs, before I start calling moving companies. Thank You!

Puerto Rico is considered International when shipping or flying.

I doubt if you are going to find anyone who has shipped just one piece of furniture "internationaly." It would really be best to call some companies...they are going to want to know the wt. of the crib. Also, Puerto Rico is not an international move...it is domestic since P.R. is a territory of the U.S.
