I have 71/2 lbs of old bay to send to my sister who lives in Canada. How should I send it.? |
If I opened it up and put it in ziploc bags would Customs let it thru.It would be less bulky.For those who don't know it is sesoning for Maryland Crabs. Shouldn't be a problem. When shipping internationally, you have to fill out a customs declaration sticker that goes on the box. Simply indicate what it is, what it's used for, and that it is a gift. Make sure you have your return address on the package in case anything goes wrong, but it really should sail right through. And putting it in ziplocs won't make the situation any worse. In fact, if Canada Customs wants to check the contents, that should make it easier for them. I don't think it will be a problem but it may be better to leave it in its original packaging. That is a lot of seasoning!! |
