How long will passports take?

Okay, I found a great deal on a cruise to Spain on Royal Carribean, departing April 27. I don't have a passport though. Will I be able to get it in time?

Passports will take about 2 months to process. You'd be cutting it REAL close if you applied right now. You probably should just pay the fee to have it done FAST.

If you're a AAA member, I'd go there to have the picture done. They'll do it right, and it won't cost as much as at the Post Office. The rest of the application is handled at the Post Office. You give them your application, picture, license and birth certificate. They take it and your money and send it off.

Sometimes they can come back fast, even without paying the fee. It all depends on where they send it for processing, and how many other applications went with yours.

I applied for my children to get theirs, and 2 of them were processed in North Carolina. I live in the south west corner of Pennsylvania.

The other application went to Harrisburg. Guess who got the passport first......


Yup. The ones done in North Carolina. The one sent to Harrisburg was sent out first. Go figure.

Most likely yes, if you start the process right now. If this is your first passport and you are a US citizen you must apply in person. This site should help.

If you go to the usp it can take up to 4 to 8 week . if you are going to travel in 3 week go pass agecny and you can get it in 2day but it going to around $240

I got mine in 2 weeks. It might take longer since it's about to be prime travel season, but if you're worried pay the extra fee to speed it up.
