Help I've never been on an all-inclusive vacation and the resort we're staying at requires...? |
men to wear "proper attire" for dinner what does that mean ?? does he have to wear nice dress pants or can he wear jeans(nice ones) it doesnt get specific just says long pants he doesnt own anything but jeans except for like 1 pair of dress pants he wears for wedding etc. but where this is Mexico (Riviera Maya) I can't see them looking right he'd look too dressed up if he wore those just need to know if we have to go buy certain pants for this occasion or if jeans will be fine someone help!!! no i've looked at pics of the resort and the men dont seem to be that "suited up" (as far as suit n tie) but I cant get a view of their pants cause they're all seated lol but they seem to have short sleeve button down shirts light wieght ones you know island style your just in luck i go to the rivera maya all the time. I'd call them or email them and find out for sure. it might mean a full suit and even a tie They probably mean "smart casual". Buy a pair of khaki pants and make sure he has a dinner jacket. That should be sufficient enough. That way. . . if they say no to wearing jeans . . . he'll have another pair of pants. Good Luck! "proper attire" almost always means coat and tie for a gentleman and no jeans or revealing wear for women.......jeans, tank tops, shorts, halter tops, etc. would be in bad taste...........these rules are especially applicable at a high end resort. I've been to an all-inclusive in Cancun. we were there for our anniversary last October--you can go with collared shirt and khakis You could get him some linen pants too, like loose ones that are nice and comfortable. Jeans are going to be so uncomfortable because it's really humid and he will start feeling gross really quickly. White or flax-colored linen is always a good bet in tropical areas, and they can be dressed up or down. Businessmen in Hawaii go to meeting in "Aloha Casual", which is Hawaiian shirt and loose pants like that! |
