I have lost my passport is there any other way i can get the passport numbr of it with out applying for a new1

When you get your new passport, make 2 or 3 copy machine copies of it and put them in different places. That way if you lose your passport again, you can lok up the number...esp. if you are away from home when it gets lost...the embassy REALLY likes to see a copy of the passport to identify YOU. Write the number down and give the paper to a trusted family member...so you can call and get it if needed. I hve known severla pwople who lost their passport and ALL I.D. while in a foreign country...makes the embassy very unhappy. You have to call home and have someone fax some type of I.D. to you...so copies are highly recommemded...one with you in a separate place from your passport, and one at home.

No...but while traveling instead of a passport you can use you brith cetificate
