Im australian, and i want to move to alaska. i just want to know what i need to do to move there? |
im in hospitality, im a 22 yr old female. wanting to know what i have to do to move to alaska. do i need a job before i actually move over there? how do i apply for a place to live? what is it like to live in alaska? You would need to apply for a work visa to live and work in Alaska, or to immigrate to the U.S. if you want to live there permanently. Both are extremely difficult...and immigration takes years. See site below to begin your research. You'll need a parka!haha AK is great. People are friendly and very laid back compared to the Lower 48. I think anyone who comes here has to have a great respect for the land, nature, and weather and enjoy them, otherwise there is really no point in coming here. Its not a cultural mecca by any means (although there is a good art scene in Anchorage compared to similar sized cities), so you should enjoy spending time outside. |
