As a permanent resident of the U.S who holds a Green Card, do I need a visa to go to Hawaii for vacation? Hawaii is part of the US (it is the 50th state!), any flight to/from Hawaii to the "mainland"/continental US is considered a domestic flight, therefore there is no Immigration requirements. It is just like visiting any other place in the US. No. No. Hawaii is a state. You may be flying over a body of water, but you will still be in the United States. Have a good trip and remember to pack two suitcases, one with clothing and one with food items. No since traveling to Hawaii is just like travelling to any other US state (since Hawaii became a state in 1959). You will however, need to bring along your government issued photo id in order to get on the plane. Last I checked Hawaii is one of the 50 states, so that means you only need a driver's license or green card to go on the plane. You're all set, good luck |
