I'm going to ride Greyhound and my bag is a little bit above the dimensions allowed. Should I worry?

It only weighs 25 pounds which is half of the allowed weight. However, they say each bags dimensions must not equal bigger than 62 inches. It's probably about 75 or so. Will they fuss? it doesn't look that big. Do they actually measure it?

my guess would be probably not. they dont have that sizing thing they have at air ports, at least not any greyhound station i've been to. they usually just give you the tags and you take it out to the bus, where you wait there while they toss it underneath.

of course, if you've ever ridden greyhound before you know that sometimes the drivers can be very helpful and accomodating. other times they can be pure evil and make your life hell.

don't worry about it the underneath of the buses is huge, they worry about the weight because they pull them off and on again...i just took a 35 hr bus ride from Georgia to Maine to get married... here's a couple of hits.... make sure you have a carry on light weight bag for snacks, books, and games. ... but make sure every time you get off the bus you take it with you....if you are transferring buses you are responsible for getting your bag out underneath the bus and getting it to the next bus...don't let it leave your side...good luck its not all that bad

Greyhound might fuss and they might actually measure your bag. Be prepared to be denied.
