How should I dress in Alaska during February?

I will travel to Anchorage, next week. I have waterproof, shearling lined boots. I need to know what kind of clothing and jacket I need to stay warm. I would also like to look feminine; if that's at all possible.

Waterproof boots, pants, warm parka-type jacket, knit hat that covers your ears. You probably won't need anything crazy. Indoors won't be any problem at all, every place is heatedwell (and some too well!).

If you want to look feminine, figure on doing that indoors once you have your jacket off. Wear a feminine shirt. I do NOT recommend a dress. Styles are more relaxed here. As Mike Doogan said "Fashion means your fur hat is dead."

Layers. It will help keep you insulated, and if by some freak chance things turn warm you can peel off a layer.

I live in Alaska and right now the temperature is 25 degrees. They just had 6 inches of snow in Anchorage yesterday. I would recommend the waterproof boots. I just wear a warm winter coat, you don't need a huge parka. You will also need a pair of gloves. The last week it has been -20 below, but it has warmed up and is supposed to stay that way for the next week or so. I recommend a light sweater like cardigans, it's a little too cold for short sleeves. They keep all the stores and the malls so hot that I never wear a coat inside, just to and from my car. Hope this helps!

Just your run of the mill winter clothes will work..I hardly even wore a jacket in Alaska.Wasnt that cold to me.
