Going from the central of oxford toward the north of it there is a hospital pls tell me its name?

I use to have an Arabic nurse friend working in that hospital, her name was Fatheya, this was in the 70s,all I know is that she married to a scotish man I am not sure if she moved to Scotland does any one know anything about her,or where she is as I would like to contact her.thank you.

The big hospital in Oxford is the John Radcliffe

It's the John Radcliffe hospital.
No parking. A nightmare for appointments and visiting.

Good luck. Pete.

The John Radcliffe Hospital wasn't opened until the middle to late 1970s, and is outside of the main part of Oxford.
There is a hospital just north of St Giles (probably the main street in the centre of Oxford) and it's called The Radcliffe Infirmary.

The Radcliffe Infirmary Woodstock Road Oxford OX2 6HE

Not sure about your friend - It may be worth asking at the hospital or if you had any mutual friends asking them - could also try friends reunited but not too likely

Possibly also the national union of nurses?

The hospital you are talking about is the John Radcliffe Infirmary on the Woodstock Road. I think you could try to contact the hospital asking for your friend. Even though she used to work there long time ago they should have some kind of records...
I advise you to hurry up because I've been told that the hospital will move pretty soon and moving out they probably will loose a lot of papers...
Good luck for everything

The John Radcliffe

The Radcliffe Infirmary

Going North up Woodstock Road WAS the Radcliffe Infirmary (not to be confused with the John Radcliffe Hospital which is in Headington, east of centre). The Infirmary closed at the start of 2007 and the site was sold to the University of Oxford.

The other principal road northwards from the centre of the city is Banbury Road, on which stood the Acland Hospital, a private sector establishment. That also has closed and is now used by Keble College.
