Where is a good place to live in Ottawa area with kids (15, 12 and 8 yrs old)? All into hockey!?

Barrhaven and Kanata are your best bets. Both are family living-based suburbs. Barrhaven doesn't have as many hockey rinks (Walter Baker Centre is the only spot..but decent), but you'll find the housing prices more reasonable to those in Kanata.
Kanata, on the other hand, has the new Sensplex and numerous other rinks in the area. The downside to Kanata is that it's pricier and the commute to downtown can be a pain.
I guess it depends on what your priorities are...

good luck!

barhaaven or stittsville are decent,or kanata as well, lived here for 25 years

Barrhaven.

West is best. Barrhaven, Kanata, Stittsville. All are great and lots of rinks around for the young ones.
That area is experiencing a lot of growth, so there are lots of homes available and even in the smaller areas, there are close shopping areas, etc.
In Kanata, and especially if the kids love hockey, the Ottawa Senators are located there.
Have fun in Ottawa!!

Sandy Hill, is a great neighborhood and they have two arena's in the neighborhood. There's one that is very recent and nice and the other one is older but still nice. Sandy Hill is a great neighborhood, safe with just enough kids living in it, there's everything you need close. Good schools (french&english), grocery and you can walk to downtown. It's the perfect balance. And the nicest park in Ottawa is there! Strathcona Park!
