Does anybody know if they've started to give the flue shot in Canada yet?

Last year I didn't take the shot because I didn't know when they started giving it so i got flue four times. I don't want to miss it this year too. I also don't have time to go to the clinic and ask. It is far from my house.

lol thank you for correcting me. I didn't know that there is a difference between flue and flu. Yeah I live in Ottawa and I am looking for Ottawa clinic that offers flu shot. I usually go to appletree medical center but I don't have time now. Thanks for the answer. Have a good night

I am diabetic and ge one every year, here in Southern Ontario, the local health unit does the clinics around the end of October first weeks of November.

I would check with the local health unit, and see where the free clinics are, most doctors will do it and the health unit usually has a couple of days they give shots.

I have gotten one for the last 7 years and have never been very sick, I also take echinachia and a vitamin c tablet starting in November until March and find this helps also.

Or you could just Google "XYZ Flu Shots" except put your county or township or city name instead of XYZ.

Oh, and one more thing: a flue is where the smoke goes from your fireplace. Flu is short for influenza. We used to write 'flu but somewhere along the way the apostrophe was dropped.
