Who of you knows the city Belleville (Ontario)??

How is the climate?
The winters are very long and cold?
Are there any things to see?

Belleville is a small Ontario city situated on the north shore of Lake Ontario. I think it is simply lovely. It was a lake port town, originally populated by United Empire Loyalists. Recently, I enjoyed the Rose Garden, the historical homes, and the Saturday morning farmers' market.

Like much of Ontario and Canada, the winters are cold, lasting from late November until late March, but being on the lake the climate is rather more temperate than more inland areas. What do you consider to be cold? The lakeshore freezes with temperatures of minus 10 degrees C in the winter and sometimes colder. During a warm winter, it would be warmer. LOL

From Belleville, you have access to Prince Edward County (which is a perfectly lovely place), Toronto, Ottawa and northern areas such as Algonquin Park. It depends largely on what you consider "things to see".

Nice place on the Bay of Quinte. 2 1/2 hours from Ottawa, the nation's capital and 2 hours from Toronto, the capital of Ontario.
