What kind of place is New Brunswick, Canada? Is it easy to find work there? Good schools? Safe?

We may immigrate to Canada and start over... I have a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management and lots of experience as an office assistant... I am bilingual (English-Spanish)... I have three kids under 7... can you guide me... thanks a bunch!

New Brunswick is a "small town" kind of province. There are only about 750,000 people in the whole province and the biggest city, Saint John, is under 70,000. It is a very safe place to live and I would think a great place for young children. People are friendly and welcoming. It tends to be a conservative place, especially outside of Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton. It is Canada's only official bilingual province, but French and English, so your Spanish won't be much help. Unemployment in NB is 7.2%, which is the lowest in Atlantic Canada. The economy is dominated by a couple of major companies - Irving and McCains - and the forest industry. I'm not sure about the Hotel / Restaurant possibilities. Tourism is pretty seasonal in NB. But things are about as good as they get - jobwise - at this time.

Alberta would be better for work, more opportunities and more opportunities for advancement, plus when your kids grow up they want have to move to far away from you to find work. If not alberta consider the niagara area, with a degree in hotel and restaraunt management you will find work there, and it's an hour away from toronto, the center of our canadian universe.
