As an added bonus, some are requiring even higher ages ... like 21 or 30. These are typically store owners that REALLY don't want to traffic with minors, and probably aren't smokers themselves. If you don't look at least 30 - or aren't well-known to the counterperson - expect to be asked for proof of age.

yo its 19 not 18, in Ontario you have to be 19 or the store clerk can deny you. If you cross the Quebec border to Hull then i think you can, i am pretty sure there limit is 18 but i don't live there and i am not positive about it.
