We (my wife and i) spent a month in Oaxaca last year. We want to go back. Where should we stay in Oaxaca City? |
We are also interested in accommodations in surrounding areas, such as San Augustin de Etla, or communities in that area. This lady is a writer and photographer and knows Mexico about as well as anyone.I highly recommend you meet and stay with her. She will also be able to help you with any of your other accommodations....Have a great trip! I suggest some place nice. Just type in Oaxcaca rentals in yahoo search engine and you will get dozens of hits. I haven't been there in 25 years so my info is most likely outdated. Enjoy. Visit Cuernavaca, it's awesome. The three times I've been to Oaxaca, I've stayed at the Hotel Victoria, and I really liked it. But it gets about a middle of the pack rating on tripadvisor. I would have to agree with the other poster here about contacting Ms.Anderson.I have stayed with her twice in the past and she is a very gracious host and can help you to see the true Mexico.Her house is very nice and her home is in a friendly and safe neighborhood convienent to most everything in the city.For me it was like staying with a family member or your best friend. |
