WW2 sites to visit?

Please can somebody reccomend me some interesting places to visit in france that are connected to ww2, I would like to know some lesser well known areas... not the beaches/ Ste Mere Eglise etc.

One of the main ones is the one overlooking Omaha beach in Normandie... There is a cemetary and memorial area.. It is in Colleville-sur-Mer. near Bayeux
Another one is at Epinal in the Vosges region .
Go to the following website for a full list of monuments, memorial areas and cemeteries:

Lesser well known areas? That's a oxymoron...

Vichy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vichy#Vichy...

Also look here:

Rheims is where the end of the European WWII was signed.

It applies to Both the second and fort but the (I'm gonna spell this phonetically sorry!) mwa-shi-no line. It is a large sort of under ground line and fortification built by the french. it goes along the whole border (bar a small bit where the German's got through!)
But the best bit to see is near Strasbourg that also has few very good festivals(Strasbourg is in France)... please check with estate agents to make sure I'm totally correct...

You may also visit the fortresses along the east French border (Ligne Maginot : http://www.maginot-line.com/ang/c_sommai... the Vercors in the south of France.

Some information may be found at http://www.c-lafrance.com/
